Retraite du 60e anniversaire de Pugwash Changement climatique<\/strong> – 2017<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

La retraite de 2017 a \u00e9t\u00e9 la retraite inaugurale de cette s\u00e9rie et a marqu\u00e9 le 60e anniversaire de la Conf\u00e9rence Pugwash originale sur les affaires mondiales et scientifiques. En 1957, 20 physiciens nucl\u00e9aires du monde entier se sont r\u00e9unis \u00e0 la Thinkers Lodge pour discuter des moyens d'endiguer la prolif\u00e9ration nucl\u00e9aire. Cet effort se poursuit aujourd'hui dans le cadre du mouvement Pugwash. En partenariat avec la Thinkers Lodge, le Centre pour la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 locale poursuit cette \u00ab mission Pugwash \u00bb avec des retraites r\u00e9guli\u00e8res sur la crise climatique, qui est la deuxi\u00e8me menace existentielle pour l'humanit\u00e9. La Thinkers Lodge continue d'offrir un lieu puissant pour des conversations profondes et courageuses sur les menaces qui p\u00e8sent sur notre civilisation et sur l'existence m\u00eame de notre esp\u00e8ce et la sant\u00e9 de la Terre pour toutes les esp\u00e8ces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Retraite R\u00e9sultats<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Forts de cette conviction, 60 ans apr\u00e8s la premi\u00e8re retraite des penseurs de Pugwash sur le d\u00e9sarmement nucl\u00e9aire, 24 penseurs mondiaux et r\u00e9gionaux, repr\u00e9sentant tous les aspects de la vie communautaire, se sont r\u00e9unis pendant deux jours et demi pour une conversation intense, intentionnelle et cibl\u00e9e sur le r\u00e9chauffement climatique, la plus grande menace \u00e0 laquelle l'humanit\u00e9 est confront\u00e9e. Convaincus que l'action locale est la meilleure voie \u00e0 suivre, la mission de la retraite \u00e9tait de faire passer la conversation \u00e0 l'action en g\u00e9n\u00e9rant une feuille de route pour d\u00e9velopper des plans d'action communautaires, avec un potentiel de retrait, qui nous permettront d'affronter et de g\u00e9rer la vie dans un monde tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rent. La diversit\u00e9 des participants - scientifiques, \u00e9conomistes, conseillers municipaux, urbanistes, artistes, militants communautaires, repr\u00e9sentants des Premi\u00e8res Nations et de la sagesse orientale, directeur du projet Drawdown et autres - a aliment\u00e9 une pollinisation crois\u00e9e des pens\u00e9es et des id\u00e9es, favorisant des conversations charg\u00e9es et difficiles. Sans se d\u00e9tourner de la dure r\u00e9alit\u00e9 d'un monde chang\u00e9 et en \u00e9volution, le groupe a identifi\u00e9 et articul\u00e9 les impacts en cascade du r\u00e9chauffement climatique sur les petites communaut\u00e9s rurales et c\u00f4ti\u00e8res.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
