Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 responsable des m\u00e9dias mondiaux d\u2019Amnesty International, administrateur de la Rainforest Foundation et actif dans diverses initiatives de paix. \u00c9lev\u00e9 dans une famille bouddhiste au Canada, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 pendant 12 ans pr\u00e9sident de la communaut\u00e9 mondiale Shambhala. Avocat international des droits de l'homme et d\u00e9fenseur mondial du logement, il est reconnu \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle internationale comme un expert dans le domaine des droits \u00e9conomiques et sociaux. Elle est chercheuse principale \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 d'Alaska Fairbanks et a cofond\u00e9 et travaille comme directrice ex\u00e9cutive de l'Alaska Institute for Justice, une organisation non gouvernementale qui est le seul fournisseur de services juridiques en mati\u00e8re d'immigration en Alaska. L'Alaska Institute for Justice abrite un centre d'interpr\u00e9tation linguistique, qui forme des Alaskiens bilingues \u00e0 devenir interpr\u00e8tes, et sert \u00e9galement d'institut de recherche et de politique ax\u00e9 sur les questions de climat et de justice sociale.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
