Finding a Place in the World: Understanding Youth Outmigration from Shrinking Rural Communities

This event will feature the public launch of the SSHRC Knowledge Synthesis Report, Finding a Place in the World: Understanding Youth Outmigration from Shrinking Rural Communities, by Dr. Karen Foster and Hannah Main, and a keynote address from Dr. Ray Bollman (Statistics Canada, retired) entitled Rural Outmigration: A Look at Some Numbers.  In addition to her position as Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Rural Futures in Atlantic Canada, Dalhousie University, Dr. Karen Foster is a Researcher with the Centre for Local Prosperity.
