The Local Prosperity conferences in 2015 & 2016 (the Centre for Local Prosperity’s namesake project) were our first projects undertaken as an organization. We incorporated as a non-profit in 2014, and got to work planning Local Prosperity 2015 in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. The event was held again in Miramichi, New Brunswick in 2016. In August 2026, we are relaunching Local Prosperity as a hybrid festival-conference, with the best features of a conference – from keynote speakers to workshops, with the atmosphere of a festival, with live music and entertainment and all-ages programming!
